Hey Friend. My name is Justin.

Christ Follower. Husband. Father. Worship Pastor.

18 years of marriage. 25 years of walking with Jesus. 6 kids. Does that make me an expert at relationships? Faith? Parenting?

Absolutely not.

But it does mean I’ve gained a ton of wisdom and experience through years of being in the thick of the daily battle. And that’s what I’m hoping to share with you, fellow dads:

Experience and Wisdom.

Because parenting is hard. Marriage is hard. Following Jesus faithfully is hard. We shouldn’t have to do any of it alone.

So, with all my years of living life and working hard to reflect Christ in all I do (and my many failures along the way), I’ve come to realize that one of the most important things we have to give to other people is our support. That’s why I have this site, why I write my articles, and why I’m working to put together resources for men, husbands, dads, families, and couples.

I want you to have the best life possible, and I believe that starts with a Christ-centered marriage and family.

So let’s do this together—let’s work to reflect Christ in our homes, our relationships, and our communities. Let’s make homes that put value in scripture over busy schedules. Let’s build families that look for ways to give to others instead of ways to collect for themselves.

Let’s Be Christ Followers. In Everything. Every Day.

Building Families Around Christ

Bringing Christ into your marriage means making Him a priority in your daily lives, as well as making each other a priority in your daily actions and choices. It’s the closest relationship to Christ and His bride, the Church. Let’s learn to honor it and build each other up.

Proverbs says that when you raise a child in the way of the Lord, they will always stay steadfast in the faith. But that means more than church every Sunday. Let’s practice the tools that make daily scripture application and study a part of your family’s lives instead of just an afterthought.

Your home should represent your walk with Christ. That means living in a way that demonstrates Christ’s love for the poor, the broken, and the weak. Learn ways to build His Kingdom instead of your own storehouses here on earth. The power of frugal living, minimalism, and generosity is incredible!

Building Men Into Prophets and Priests

Speaking Truth

God designated prophets to bring His Word to the community – to speak truth to His people. As husbands and dads, we are called by Jesus to be the prophets of our homes. We need to speak truth to our families so that they know what God requires of us, as well as how much God loves us.

God’s priests were dedicated to being in the presence of Yahweh. They spoke directly with Him, and they were always in relationship with Him. If we want a strong family, we need to “pray without ceasing” over our wives and children. Our call as priests is to build our family’s closeness to God.

It’s easy to teach your kids to live by “the rules.” It’s much harder to teach them to lead with their hearts. But that’s exactly what Jesus calls us to do: to change our hearts, not just our actions. And that’s what we are called to build: disciples. Let’s learn to build up Jesus followers, not Pharisees.

Building Bible Literacy

The greatest key to building Christ-centered marriages and families is knowing what the Bible says about how we live. It’s easy to proof-text and pick and choose our scriptures, but until we know the full context of what we read, we won’t be able to put it into practice properly. Let’s work together to build our biblical wisdom so we can build homes and lives that look like Jesus, not just some shadow of a kind teaching.
